Craig Brown is a talented comedic performer, producer and writer, and one of the brightest young stars in the Canadian comedy scene. A graduate of the Humber School of Comedy and the Second City Conservatory, Craig is a founding member of the award-winning sketch comedy troupe The Sketchersons, and was the recipient of the first- ever Mike Myers Award for Outstanding Comedic Ability.
Craig has written and performed sketch, stand-up, and improv comedy both as a solo performer and as part of a number of comedy troupes, including the Sketchersons, Bull Hooey and The Second City Touring Company. He has performed on the Just For Laughs Toronto stage, and regularly appears at the Altdot Comedy Lounge and Sketch Comedy Lounge. Craig also produces his own regular comedy competition show, “Stand-Up Showdown”, which is currently being developed for television.
Craig has also won critical and fan acclaim for his film and television work. Craig has most recently appeared on Global Television and ABC Family’s hit show Rookie Blue, CTV’s Dan For Mayor and the new Showcase series, Almost Heroes.
Craig was a writer/performer for the Nikki Payne Comedy Pilot "Nikki's Funtime Show". Craig has also appeared on NBC’s The Dresden Files, Disney's Overruled, YTV’s Monster Warriors, the Showcase and FX Networks “co-pro” Testees, and The Jon Dore Television Show for the Comedy Network and performed in lead roles for the two independent Canadian films If I See Randy Again, Do You Want Me To Hit Him With The Axe? and Push and Turn.
Craig’s natural on-screen charisma led to a StarTV profile and a request to write and perform in an original short that aired on the Comedy Network. He can also be seen in the Comedy Network program Hotbox and in a number of popular television advertising campaigns in Canada and the United States.
A quick-thinking and creative improviser and writer, and a seasoned performer beyond his years, Craig has quickly become a fixture in Canadian comedy and is building a reputation as one of the best young comedic actors working today.
