Originally from Toronto, Evany Rosen started out performing sketch and improv with the Second City-born troupe Statutory Jape.
Moving to Halifax she joined Picnicface, the famous sketch/improv troupe that has surpassed 30 million hits on Youtube. Rosen has written a full-length play entitled Pawnshop and a nationally acclaimed short film for CBC and has also co-written a Picnicface book that is coming out in 2011.
She’s currently writing a pilot for the Comedy Network under the tutelage of Kids in the Hall alumnus Mark McKinney. Performing throughout the Maritimes both as a solo stand-up and with Picnicface, Evany Rosen continues to evolve as a keen comedic mind as well as a seasoned, dynamic performer who is consistently generating smart humor and mature, perfectly legal jape. |
