Jane Miller is an incredibley talented singer and actress. With a wealth of experience in the theatre, some of her appearances include: Muscle Memory with Theatre Viscera, Book of Thoht with wordmachine, Line and Savage in Limbo with Acme Theatre, and Shaking the Foundations at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, which earned her a 1999 Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for Best Performance in a musical. In April 2003, she originated the role of infamous 1920's faith healer and preacher Aimee Semple MacPherson in the world premiere of Almost There at Brookstone Theatre. In January 2001, Jane wrote and performed Disco Goalie in co-production with Artword Theatre and her own company, Splode. She then remounted the show at Aquarius Theatre in Hamilton, and took it on a six-city Western Canada tour which earned criticial and financial success. This coming summer, Jane will appear as Speed in Two Gentlemen of Verona for Shakespeare in the Rough.
As a singer and composer, she has released two albums with Wind May Do Damage and has opened for Arlo Guthrie, Ani DeFranco, Jeff Buckley, and Moxy Fruvous. For TheTheatre Centre's Body Geometry: the 7th Angel, Jane created an extended voice performance as a singing goldfish on a twelve-foot high tightwire. She has composed an a capella score for the stage adaptation of Michael Redhill's book of poetry Lake Nora Arms, commissioned by the theatre company, Nightswimming, which will receive it's premiere production in Spring 2005 at Theatre & Company in Waterloo.
