Award winning comedian Jon Dore began performing in Ottawa co-hosting Ottawa’s Rogers Television's Daytime and in stand-up comedy honing his comedic and improv skills to a fine point. In 2003 Jon took part in the Homegrown Comedy Competition at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, his first festival appearance, and has since returnedl to host the competition three times. He has also appeared at the Vancouver, Halifax, Portland and DC comedy Festivals. To his credit Jon a half hour special, Comedy NOW! for CTV and The Comedy Network, and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.
Jon made a name for himself on the hottest program on Canadian TV, CTV's Canadian Idol, as a correspondent reporting on the pressures and excitement of the contest with his unique brand of humour. Shortly after Idol, Jon was given his own show on The Comedy Network, The Jon Dore Television Show. The show has been a remarkable success, developing a huge following, winning a Canadian Comedy Award and is being distributed Internationally.
