Laurie Elliott has made a name for herself as one of the most versatile and fun to watch entertainers in Canada. She is a winner of the Tim Sims En-couragement Fund Award and received the 2004 and 2006 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up. She also has a Gemini Award nomination for ensemble cast on The Red Green Show.

Her stand up credits include the Toronto and Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, where she recently appeared in a television gala, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the Hubcap Comedy Festival in Moncton, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa.

Laurie's television credits include a Comedy Award nominated recurring role on Toronto 1’s The Toronto Show and recurring roles on CBC’s The Red Green Show and Global’s Train 48. She has also appeared in episodes of The Jon Dore Television Show, CBC’s This is Wonderland and The Sean Cullen Show, Showtime’s Soul Food, CTV/Comedy Network’s Endless Grind and her own stand-up comedy special Comedy Now!. She also wrote for and performed on The Comedy Network’s series Popcultured with Elvira Kurt for over 80 episodes.

Laurie is a recurring panelist on Global’s Out of Bounds with John Oakley and Men TV’s Real Men. Her two woman show Dickwhipped, which she co-wrote and co-starred in with Kristeen von Hagen was Patron’s Pick for it’s venue at the 2004 Toronto Fringe Festival, was featured at the Vancouver Comedy Festival, and won the 2005 Canadian Comedy Award for Funniest Play.

Laurie has extensive voice experience, having worked on a number of animated series including Bob and Margaret, Medabots, Braceface, Timothy Goes to School, Moville Mysteries, Atomic Betty, Jacob Two Two, Meteor, Time Warp Trio and more.

More recently Laurie is writing for The Jon Dore Television Show and Teletoon’s hugely rated 6teen, appeared on a MOW for Lifetime along side Sarah Chalke, is a popular recurring panelist for Much Music’s Video on Trial and also married Red Green’s nephew Harold on the final episode of The Red Green Show. She also just completed a cross Canada tour pro-duced by Clayton and Russell Peters called “GIRL’S NIGHT OUT” with fellow friends and comics Debra Digiovanni and Kristeen von Hagen.
